BRYN POLYN - River Elwy

A short but productive beat on the river Elwy that should fish well at all times.  Adjoins Maes Elwy beat which is upstream of Bryn Polyn and which is accessible over a stile.

The club owns this beat, about 500m. Right bank.

Leave St Asaph on the A525 Trefnant/Denbigh road, after passing The Oriel House Hotel towards the top of the rise, look for a sign on the right hand side saying  ‘’Reeds from Seeds’’ and ‘’Bryn Polyn Nurseries’’.  Turn right with care into the Nursery. From Trefnant/Denbigh on the A525 pass Tweedmill on your right, in about half a mile turn left at the sign for ‘’Reeds from Seeds’’ and  ‘’Bryn Polyn Nurseries’’.

Parking: Turn right immediately you enter the property, go through a gate and park neatly allowing room for other cars. Please display your Association parking sticker.

Follow signs and arrows along the field perimeter to about halfway down the field then cross left to a gate. Please do not cut diagonally across the field. Go through the second gate and turn to the right passing the pond.  Keep on with the pond on your left until you come to the path down through woods to the river.

Bryn Polyn is a working nursery and also people live on site.  Please keep all noise to an absolute minimum especially at night and also observe any requests from staff.
